Well it was more or less weekly for a good couple of months before the EUK list was written, and then more-or-less weekly for the time the list was being worked on by EUK.

So I'd say that at least 3 games is true, if not particularly accurate (maybe 8 or 9, whoop).

While that's true, I sadly can't target them with a single Vyper and then fire the rest of the fm at something else. So by just simply not dying the Pylons suck in enemy fms and force fire away from the monoliths. This is true, my experiences agree with Stomps (indeed are often from the other other...

On the MW vs Monoliths issue, I'm currently playing Necrons casually (i.e. outside of tournaments) using the EUK list I tend to use 8 Monoliths and either a Warbarque or the Abbatoir (depending on points). there tends to not be a great deal of MW shooting in most armies, and the only times I've lost...

I suppose the other thing you could do is drive up the night before and avail yourself of a cheap and cheerful B&B or something to crash in?

My two cents - currently playing with the EUK list - Monolith saves. EUK changed them vs MWs, so I think they deserve a look in NetEA too. I don't agree that Living Metal needs simplification, but maybe they are too tough vs MW? (I haven't seen it, but others may have.) I think it was more a case th...

Ah well, I suppose it had to end some time.. I just hope all the sculpting talent doesn't disappear following this, shame it doesn't look like I can complete my Epic projects now, but maybe it's a chance for the forum to have a bash at their own universe to play sci fi in, or get more behind Exodus ...

I would. And if the Necrons are balanced, why would they be nerfed to this significant degree? Monoliths are everything in the list. I don't mind downgrading Harvester engines. I've got no experience with them, but they look ridiculously tough on paper. If people who have used them extensively feel...

I've been playing informally using the EUK list, and it's not really proven to be too downgrading in my experience. I have ran a Harvester engine at 4k (not least because the Overlord upgrade takes a fair bit of pressure off the over-subscribed Necron WE allowance as it is) and it's not really ever ...

Shame the game is tied to the 40k IP in some ways, given that lately GW seem to be doing their utmost to retconn the background and introduce ever more units.

Also, it only seems like a fairly recent thing that GW are adding so much into existing lists at such a pace.

If Epic wants to keep up maybe it needs to adapt it's strategy a little, while it's worked in the past it's taken it's sweet time....

I dunno you know. I think it would work for variant lists - where it's more about changing the focus of the list rather than starting again from the ground up. At least this approach gives them agreed on stats - points and availability can be tweaked in variant lists by testing the list I would have...

I agree with some of the earlier comments about a pool of units that are around only for friendly games, this makes it easier to play with new units without having to create and test new lists. The units then get some testing in the context of otherwise balanced lists. I can just see the conversatio...

How about an underground faction ala the Morlocks? Maybe they're ticked off at everyone stealing their coal, and are coming above ground to stop them.

Ooooh Shiny!

Did anyone get a run down of how the game plays?
