Thanks for the complements, guys :) Yeah, that was a fun pose to build! Took about half an hour of sanding down the Land Raider to get the leg height to look natural, and I had to pin the heck out of this guy as well, but totally worth it for the effects. Pretty sure it'll wind up being one very dir...

Time for another update! I've been quiet for a few months, but that's because there's about two dozen Battletech battlemechs, five more titans, 8 thunderbolt proxies, and three formations of Skitarii and Cybernetica support primed and awaiting paint, now. Oh yeah, and this guy: https://live.staticfl...

It's the disembarking that triggers the Overwatch. 'Also note that formations on overwatch may only react when a formation moves or unloads troops. They may not to choose to shoot at a formation that does anything else in their line of fire, such as shooting without moving or regrouping.' Sustained...

Yeah, I had to go back to the Overwatch section, and you’re right - sustained fire, a “0cm move” should still trigger Overwatch first. I feel a little less bad about pulling a “Light Brigade” there. Graf Spee, if you and Sauerkopf are willing to log a few more 3000 point battle reports, I think putt...

Yeah, they’re coming to Cold Wars. Kal was saying game 3 would be the standard tournament scenario, so that should hopefully net another.

Iron Warriors are close, although I’m not the AC ;) I’ve tried reaching out to Onyx, but haven’t heard from him in a long time. That said, I’ve been playing it pretty regularly over the past 3-4 years and I’d still like to see Iron Warriors reach approved status eventually, this year even, if possib...

Thanks, but I can't claim credit ;) That's just one of a dozen or so gaming boards at The Portal in Manchester, CT (link for CT area folks who may not be aware of them: https://timemachinehobby.com/the-portal-gaming-center/ ). The Adeptus Ineptus abuse them pretty regularly for Epic, Warmaster &...

And another one for the road to approval, this time Iron Warriors vs. Knight World (3000) We took it through four turns, and the Iron Warriors won on points, 1298 to 823. Consistently winning initiative and driving assaults onto the Knights, rather than the other way around, really helped keep the K...

So over the weekend I took a pilgrimage up to Connecticut to get a couple of games in with the guys, mostly because I have no idea what my travel plans for the next two months are going to look like for work (except likely heavy). It was a good day; I got in a 3000 point game using my draft tourname...

Throwing in a quick shout-out to GlynG; working together we managed to airlift an entire demi-legio of titans across an ocean, no small feat if you know anything about logistics ;)

Great guy, really patient, glad he was willing to go puzzle through customs with me over 2.5 kg of models ;)

And here's new objective #3! Apologies for the less-than-stellar lighting; it's going to be overcast all week and black isn't the most photogenic of colors. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7830/40117154293_88ec70ffbd.jpg The last known location of the Tallarn Institute of Technology anthropology depa...

Got a battle report in, Iron Warriors vs. Tau (tournament pack) at 3000 points. We took it to points after three turns of blasting away at each other, and the Iron Warriors came out on top 1375 to 885. I had a lot of fun with the list as always, and honestly I think it's at a pretty good, balanced p...

I figure it's about time I started contributing battle reports toward Iron Warriors approval ;) I managed to get a game in this weekend at a local game store with a buddy who lives in the area. We played 3,000 points of Iron Warriors and Tau, taking it to points after turn three with the Iron Warrio...

Those cranes look familiar. Yeah, I’ve wanted to convert up a pair of recovery vehicles for a while; wound up using everything off of the Tusculum Nova recovery tank set but their hulls for the conversions ;) Great kits all the same, and I was glad to have such excellent ready-made components to use!

Regarding those cranes, any plans for the hulls and other bits from that kit? I wound up building them as mini-Dracosans, and then dropped them into storage for now. They might wind up worked into an objective marker or terrain piece/diorama at some point, my IG just hasn't made it out of their pac...
