I know I'm a bit late to this party burst I have one question about the stats of the battle sisters and retributors. In zombo's list battle sisters have heavy flamer 15cm AP 4+ , and retributors have 2x heavy bolter. In this list they are flipped so battle sisters have heavy bolter and retributors have two heavy flamers. I've skimmed this thread, but couldn't find the reason for this change. Most of the other units are the same, so why this change?
I mainly want to know because I'm about to start gluing my new sisterhood minis, and I'd like to know the stability of any changes. My 28mm sisters army has already had too many conversions and weapon swaps brought about by codex changes so I'm just ultra careful where sisters are concerned :P

Well (I have been asked this question before can't remember were it's so I'm happy to do it again) my reasons are the heavyflamers better fit the retributors role on the battle field as close support heavy weapon specialists. It also better represents the lists theme as a whole, with area clearance weapons and aggressive advancing tactics used to overwhelm their preferred enemy (cultists and other heretic scum).
The retributors are veteran sisters who through faith have turned to the employment of heavy weapons, with seniority they develop their skills in the use of heavybolters, heavyflamers and multi-meltas.

Thanks that makes sense. I'll still probably hedge my bets though, and stick a variety of different weapons on the retributors stands just in case things change.:). I'll have to check through some batreps too ,to see how the different units work together.

Just a question on the Chapels. Shouldn't the inferno Gun, which i assume is super tank version of the same scout titan version be 3bp instead of 2bp to match the same weapon profile? They share the same name after all and it should match across all lists.

Yes and no it is the same thing essentially but the scout titan has upgraded weapons so don't have the same BP value.

Yeah i was interested in the Chapel when they were matching the scout titan weapon, but 2bp each makes them fairly useless. The 3bp, so 6bp total for the unit was a lot more appealing, even with the gunned down version of no exorcist launchers. Personally i think you've nerfed them too far at this point to just be unviable. I'll just put the stuff i had to build them away till later.

And you will have to change the name if the stats don't match

On another note, my first test mini of my penitent engine is complete, I know they aren't technically quadruped but I'm struggling to find appropriate things in scale

Neat! Parts list?

I agree that the weak burninators as marking this totally unappealing. 6BP gives me a reason to use them.

I like it Mard ;D looks sinister. Did you sculpt the dude in the straps?

Yeah should probably should change the name to promethium gun or something in that vein. The problem with the chapels having 3BP each is the cost of the formation its fearless, RA and ignore cover weapon although short range (with ignore cover FF). All the the extra BP per engine gives is an extra blast marker but with 3BP per engine the effectiveness of a single engine remains pretty good with little down side to losing one.

yeah but it's 15cm move 30cm range gun. Basically the thing isn't much different than the Stormsword and that has disrupt as well! You should drop fearless and keep the standard burninator.

granted, I may be just trying to keep my existing army viable though too ;)

Parts for my engines are: Onlsaught miniatures Stygian Parasite Rig with no arms, tail trimmed and extra blades trimmed and legs are the Kappa sentry legs. Arms are from forumware contemptor dreadnoughts.

And Jimmy is on the ball comparing them to Stormswords and they are far better with disrupt and the formation can get up to 9bp in total! Plus you know every guard army throws the free commisar in there to give it fearless as well.
I think we are fine with the 3bp, max 6bp even with fearless. With no access to Titans I think we should have something hard as nails on the board.

Red looks better and makes them stand out more.

Depending how much time you've got ...what about the red hood with a white band at the front, similar to a nun's habit?

Also...where did you get the ruins for the bases?

Ruins for the bases are the old epic 40k ruin strips that came with box sets, I have a shitload left and I tend to snap up any I see going for cheap for this kind of usage. The rest of the time I use bits of cork, old sprue etc.
